“Nawal” is a fictional story about an Egyptian girl who has to walk the fine lines between two cultures and a religion. Never an easy task.
I self published this book and bootstrapped the process from start to finish. So I hope you can appreciate that this was a labour of love and a testament to the importance of finishing what we start!
I sincerely wish for you to enjoy the story and send me your comments or questions on story development and self publishing.
Synopsis:
Orphaned and alone, Nawal has to fend for herself. First in her native country of Egypt and then in Canada, where she uncovers old family skeletons that would haunt her and everyone with whom she came into contact with.
It takes her living in an upscale neighbourhood in Vancouver with family she never knew, and living life as a fly on the wall in a church basement, to put all the pieces together and make sense of her journey back to Egypt during the Arab Spring.
